Michigan Star Will Johnson to Host Youth Football Camp in Detroit

Michigan standout Will Johnson is set to host a youth football camp in his hometown of Detroit next week. The camp, scheduled for July 18-20, will provide young athletes with an opportunity to learn from the All-American cornerback and develop their football skills.

Johnson, a native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, has emerged as one of the nation's top defensive backs. As a sophomore in 2022, he earned All-Big Ten and All-American honors while intercepting five passes and breaking up 11 others.

Off the field, Johnson has been actively involved in his community. In addition to organizing this youth camp, he recently launched the Will Johnson Foundation to support underprivileged youth in Detroit.

The upcoming camp, which will be held at Detroit's Finney High School, is open to boys and girls ages 7-14. It will feature on-field drills, skill development, and mentorship opportunities.

Johnson, along with a team of experienced coaches, will lead the camp's participants through drills designed to improve their speed, agility, tackling technique, and football IQ. The camp will also emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

"I'm excited to host this camp and give back to the community that raised me," Johnson said. "I want to provide young athletes with the opportunity to learn from me and other experienced coaches, and help them reach their full potential both on and off the field."

The camp is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. It is designed to provide a fun and engaging learning environment where participants can develop their skills, build confidence, and make lasting memories.
