Creamy Tomato Gluten Free Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces gluten-free penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, almond milk, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Stir in the nutritional yeast until well incorporated.
